Pastor Russ joined us in the summer of 2023 as our Congregational Life Pastor. Growing up in Colorado, he ventured to Minnesota for college and seminary. His call to ministry was greatly influenced by his time serving in outdoor ministries. As a youth minister, he served congregations in Colorado, Utah, and Minnesota. Following his ordination, he served congregations in Denver, CO, and Sequim, WA, before happily settling in Sartell.
He’s a big fan of sharing faith, hope, love, and levity! Each summer, he looks forward to discovering which inflatable costume he’ll get to wear for Vacation Bible School.
He also really enjoys music (gravitating toward rhythm as a percussionist, but also playing piano, guitar, and—yes—bagpipes), running (he’s not fast, but he keeps going), reading (curiosity helps one flourish), and the blessings and adventures of life and laughter with his wife, Sarah, their son, Christopher, and their pup, Jeffrey.
He is enthusiastic about journeying in faith with you as we celebrate, grow, and serve together!
