God is not confined to one holy space. Jesus is present where “two or three are gathered” in his name. Pints and Praise was born out of our love for folk music and craft beer. If you attend, expect a boisterous group of faithful, fun-loving Lutherans. Martin Luther loved to drink beer and sit with friends, talking about faith. About the Protestant Reformation he famously said “God and the Word did it all while I slept and drank Wittenberg beer with my friends.” Some of us are not comfortable visiting a church building where everyone seems to know each other, but many of us can sit down in a tap room, listen and sing. Some people are shy about inviting a friend to church but no one seems to mind be invited to share a beer! At Pints and Praise you’ll hear the same message that is preached in our Sunday morning worship—and the peace of God shared with the clink of our glass. All are welcome.
