Weekends at Celebration
Visiting a church for the first time can be a little daunting. Where do I go? Where do my kids go? Is it safe? What will the music be like? What is the teaching like? What will people be wearing? Will it be weird? Am I wasting my time only to find out that this is just not the right fit for me? These are all valid questions to ask when looking for a new church. Here is a brief run-down of what to expect at any service at Celebration.
First of all, parking is plentiful, you should have no problem finding a spot nearby.
Our nursery is staffed on each Sunday morning during both Worship Services (8:30am & 10am). It is designed with kids from birth - 4 years of age in mind. Please arrive a few minutes early to get your kids checked in acquainted with our staff.
Our Worship Services
After being welcomed in for Worship, make your way to the Sanctuary. There are greeters who can answer many basic questions. You will notice a pretty easy-going environment where people are dressed casually. You are welcome to wear a suit and tie if that’s what you are used to, but you may be one of the few dressed so formally. If you arrive early, you’ll have no problem getting a seat of your choice. If you arrive a little late and the room looks full, don’t worry . . . we’ll help direct you to an open spot.
We gather for Worship 3 times per weekend:
The musical style of the Worship Service will vary from service to service.
10:00/10:30 Sunday is what we to call our "Blended" service where we will Worship using great hymns as well as some contemporary songs as well.
We welcome you to try each of our services to see which is the best fit for you!
Our preaching time is focused on taking the main reading from The Bible and breaking it down into our everyday experiences giving you access to the scripture in a manner that makes sense today. We spend most of the year preaching through books of the Bible, but may occasionally take a break to speak on a specific series. Expect our sermons to last roughly 12-15 minutes. Check out the full Sermon Archive HERE.
Responding to the Teaching of God’s Word
Every week after the sermon, we respond in a few different ways. First, Christ-followers will be invited to take part in communion (you may know it as the Eucharist). This really keeps us focused on the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. During that time we’ll continue worshiping in song. Towards the end of our service, those who consider Celebration home will be given the opportunity to worship with their finances by giving back a portion to God via the offering. You as a visitor should feel no pressure to take part in this. If you’d like to learn more about the financial side of Celebration, you can do so HERE. We’ll close the service with a few announcements.
Don’t feel like you need to run out right away! Take some time to meet new people if you are ready for that.
